Quality Furniture Company to close permanently after 56 years
Family-owned and operated retailer begins final liquidation May 8
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (May 6, 2025) - Family-owned and operated Quality Furniture Company is going out of business after providing its customers with quality whole home furnishings for more than half a century. The company's second-generation owners will retire following a final liquidation sale which begins May 8
Founded in 1969 by John Morris, Quality Furniture Company has been a cornerstone of the Murfreesboro community for more than five decades. Known for its high-quality furniture and personalized customer service, the store has remained family-owned and operated throughout its history. Morris' stepson, Butch Jones, and his wife Carolyne took over the family business in 2005 and have proudly carried on the family legacy through their dedication to serving others and commitment to integrity. Now, after 20 years, the couple has made the difficult decision to retire and close the store.
"Carolyne and I are deeply thankful for the friendships, loyalty and support we've experienced over the years," said Jones. "It's been an honor to serve this community."
Quality Furniture Company begins its going-out-of-business sale May 8 at 745 Old Fort Parkway. Across the 20,000-square-foot showroom, a wide variety of quality furniture will be offered at deep discounts with up to 50% off home accessories. All inventory must be liquidated including heirloom rugs from around the world and famous furniture brands such as BarcaLounger, Bassett, Bradington-Young, England, Flexsteel, Hooker Furniture, Howard Miller, Restonic, and Rowe. Management encourages early shopping for the best selection.
The Quality Furniture Company building is for lease and interested parties may contact John Morris at (615) 653-7137. For more information on the store-closing sale visit www.qfchome.com.
